Don’t worry about grammar rules and the knowledge of vocabulary. If you focus on grammar or vocabulary in learning a second language, you may never feel comfortable when it comes to speaking with native speakers. You should focus on listening and speaking.
To know a foreign language is to be able to speak it fluently. And the most effective way to learn a second language is to speak it.

How does my way of teaching work?
Step 1: You listen to a short story from your MP3 player or from your computer. Do it at least three or four times. Just listen.
Step 2: This is the “listen, pause and speak” part of my lesson. In this part, I’m reading the story for you again. But I’m asking you lots of, lots of questions about the story after almost every sentence. What you need to do is to use the pause button of your audio device as soon as you hear a question and answer it in a few words. Then when you play the audio again, you hear the answer from me.
Step 3: In this part, we will be looking at the vocabulary in the story: What a particular word means and how it is used.
Step 4: This is the written text of the story. There you will also find the vocabulary with their meaning in English.
Step 5: Grammar lessons with exercises and homework.
If you study this lesson unit over and over again for a week, you will start to answer and ask the questions easily and fast. You will learn grammar rules and vocabulary almost automatically and your pronunciation will be great through repetition.
You will learn to speak Turkish as it is spoken in everyday life!

"The questioning after each story is excellent for comprehension and practice. The grammar element is there because we cannot learn a language without the grammar but it is simply explained and in context. … Your stories and questions seem to combine the necessity of grammar with the ability to communicate quickly." Mary
